Fundraising Events:
The school year has come to another end. Our program, "The Hollow", was so much fun to be a part of last fall. The students were committed and spent countless hours of practice to make the program such a success! Great job to all of them!
We are getting ready and geared up for fundraisers going on throughout the summer for all students to be able to raise the necessary funds to continue being a part of this wondeful band program. Here is a list of the following:
♦ Concerts In The Park ♦
Location: Riverside Park
When: Every Tuesday beginning June 24th - August 26th
Time: 4:30 P.M. - until tear down is complete.
What is involved? We will be selling hot dogs / sausage dogs, taco salads, beverages, and Auxiliary will be selling popcorn.
Basketeering: This is our first year that we will be participating. Everyone who have signed up to participate (10) need to be at Riverside Park at 4:30 P.M. We will be helping the Chamber of Commerce set up the stage, tables, chairs, and etc.... as well as help tear it down at the end of the evening. During intermission, parents will be passing baskets around throughout the crowd collecting donations. Students will need to be very enthusiastic and be dressed in full uniform playing there instruments. We can receive up to half of all donations if we fulfill our commitment to the Chamber of Commerce.
Money will be divided between shift workers for their band accounts at the conclusion of Concerts In The Park.
♦ Jo. Co. Fair - Lion's Booth ♦
Location: Josephine County Fairgrounds
When: Tuesday, August 12th/ Wednesday, August 13th/ Thursday, August 14th/ Friday, August 15th/ and Saturday, August 16th
Time: There are three shifts each day. Shifts are as follows: Shift 1 will be from 10 A.M. -2:30 P.M. Shift 2 will be from 2:15 - 7 P.M. and Shift 3 will be from 6:45 - 11 P.M.
What is involved? The Lion's hire our students and parents to take food and beverage orders. A variety of burgers, fries, milkshakes and other items are prepared and sold. The health department requires that all who have shoulder length hair or longer to pull it back. Appropriate attire is expected as well as close-toed shoes.
Students will receive $10.00 per shift plus tips.
